I am a lifetime user of office products in general and Word since the Windows 3.1 era. I am sick of MS trying to pigeonhole users into having to pay a yearly subscription fes for using these required products for most professional occupations. Microsoft office is the world standard in document creation and should almost be public domain because it powers everything that needs a formal dpcument.

I've been using MS Office 2021 on the Mac for about a month now and don't notice any difference from Office 365. So I'm very happy with this purchase of course because I want to avoid the yearly subscription cost. But I also want to avoid all the AI features and so for me this was a great deal.
